Business Development Manager

Denver-based environmental consulting firm is seeking a full-time, base plus commission Business Development Manager.

Duties include:

Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients

Increasing client base

Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition

Writing business proposals

Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs

Researching business opportunities and viable income streams

Following industry trends locally and internationally

Drafting and reviewing contracts

Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements

Developing growth strategies and plans

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Familiarity with the environmental and/or construction industry

Familiarity with the Denver market

Some environmental experience preferred

Business development and/or marketing experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Salary commensurate with experience.

Industrial Hygiene Group Manager

Denver-based environmental services and industrial hygiene consulting firm is seeking a full-time, salaried Industrial Hygiene (IH) Group Manager for a small team of environmental scientists.

Duties include:

·         Prepare proposals and cost estimates

·         Manage industrial hygiene and safety team

·         Manage IH and safety projects

·         Conduct environmental building surveys (asbestos, mold, lead, radon, etc.)

·         Provide leadership, guidance, and mentor junior staff

·         Supervise 1 to 5 employees

·         Write technical reports

·         Meet and interact with existing and potential new clients

·         Marketing and business development activities

·         Senior quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) of reports

·         Prepare indoor air quality assessments

·         Project-related travel as needed

Required Skills and Experience:

·         Bachelor of Science degree in a related science field

·         15+ years of experience in industrial hygiene and safety industry

·         5+ years of experience in the environmental consulting industry

·         Colorado Certified Asbestos Building Inspector (CABI)

·         Colorado Air Monitoring Specialist (AMS)

·         Colorado Asbestos Management Planner

·         Colorado Reg. 8 Project Designer

·         Colorado Asbestos in Soil Qualified Project Monitor (QMP)

·         Manage AIHA Proficiency Testing for the IHPAT

·         NIOSH 582 certification

·         Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook)

·         Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills

·         High degree of organization

Desired Skills and Experience:

·         CAD, Billquick or Core, and Bluebeam

·         Certified Industrial Hygienist

·         Performance of safety audits and preparation of health and safety plans

Environmental Scientist - Asbestos/IH Group

Candidate will be required to perform field surveys, task management, and small project management duties associated with our industrial hygiene group in Denver.

Duties include:

Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced team members

Prepare environmental building surveys (asbestos, mold, lead, radon, etc.)

Perform asbestos abatement oversight and final air clearance activities

Prepare indoor air quality assessments

Prepare project bidding specification packages

Prepare proposals

Write technical reports, prepare tables and figures

Manage tasks and small projects

Meet and interact with clients

New client business development

Project related travel as needed

Desired skills and experience:

Bachelor's degree in environmental science/industrial hygiene or a related science field

Minimum 3 years experience of asbestos abatement inspections and clearance

Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations

EPA AHERA-accredited Inspector (CABI), Project Designer Project Manager, or Supervisor

Microbial indoor air quality experience

Well organized

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Superior technical writing abilities

Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Project management and a technical specialty.
